Liberty youth group strives to:
The youth at Liberty have been very busy over the last few months. They
led the congregation in worship on Youth Sunday, participated in a 30
Hour Famine to raise money to help fight hunger in our world, created a
large Lenten art project that reached its conclusion on Easter, and on
top of all that, 28 of our youth were confirmed into membership in our
church on April 21st. They have continued to grow in their faith and
have looked for new ways to live it out in concrete ways.
Things
are not slowing down anytime soon for our youth. In the next few months,
they will be participating in the spring walls build, competing in a
giant picture scavenger hunt, studying what the Bible teaches us about
our identity in Christ, and celebrating the end of the school year
together.
Also coming this June 8-15 is our High School Mission
Trip. This year 34 youth and 6 adults will be heading to New York City
to offer assistance to those still struggling to recover from Super
Storm Sandy. The group will be working to repair homes and restore hope
to the people who still struggle even many months after the storm.
Please pray for the participants and those who they will serve. The team
will be commissioned on Sunday, May 26th during the worship service.
Our regular scheduled weekly programs will continue through the end of May. Don’t miss out on:
Youth Sunday School (6th-12th grade) – 10:00 a.m. in the Youth Room (except 1st Sundays).
